William Rieben, E. A.

Bill has over 45 total years of experience as an accountant serving individuals and small businesses. He specializes in Income Taxes for about 400 individuals and 100 small businesses.

Bill earned his Bachelor of Arts in General Business in 1974 at Washington State University. For the next 15 years, he worked as an accountant for companies in the Seattle area, including the Seattle Credit Bureau, Credit Northwest, First Interstate Bank and Fisher Mills.

In 1989, he purchased the tax and accounting practice and in 1993 he earned his Enrolled Agent credentials, conferred by the Internal Revenue Service.

Bill has been a long-time member of Washington State Society of Enrolled Agents and the National Association of Enrolled Agents.

For three decades, Bill was also a very active member of the Washington Association of Accountants, where he served on the Board in various positions for over 10 years and co-founded their Chapter Leadership Conference.

From 1995 to 2010, Bill spent several months each year as a national speaker, presenting seminars and workshops on a variety of business topics across the country and was also a contributing author of many of the technical manuals used in those seminars. Bill presented such topics as: Income Taxes for Individuals and Businesses, Small Business Growth and Small Business Technology for such organizations as Gear-Up Tax Seminars, Western CPE, Washington Association of Accountants and Shoreline Community College.

Bill was born and raised in Seattle. His dream as a teenager was to be a musician and he played piano and bass guitar with various rock bands during his teens and twenties. But he eventually realized that accounting was his true passion. He has two sons, Tom (see next) and David (who also lives in Shoreline).
